Hi guys, this is Seele of… uhh… let’s just say BEMANI (Fans) Philippines. nekotea offered me to write a guest review of the upcoming mobile rhythm game Arcaea. Since I just so happened to be stuck in a wall at Sound Voltex lately, I figured a breath of fresh (otoge) air would be nice. She told me to write about it from a rhythm gaming perspective, so I will frequently dive into rhythm gaming terminology when discussing some things.

SeaBed

Fruitbat Factory have announced that they will be localising the psychological yuri visual novel, SeaBed by Paleontology. The story is told from the perspective of three different characters: Mizuno Sachiko, Narasaki Hibiki and Takako. Sachiko is a designer haunted by hallucinations of her ex Takako, who suffers from developmental amnesia which causes her to forget her past. Hibiki is a psychiatrist interested in human memories and is friends with Sachiko.

Zetsuna here, this time covering an online conference for visual novel (time to drink) developers by VN developers. It’s not only the seasoned pros though, but rather including and welcoming amateur and pro alike in a gathering of enthusiasts, in a mission to learn from each other.

So here I am, writing an aftermath article on one doozy of a conference hosted on the morning of Saturday January 14. Talks from experts ranged from business/project management, creative (artist, writer, and composer), and programmer perspectives.

Japanese School Life has been released on Steam by Sekai Project and code:jp! This is their first original IP where you play as Brian, a foreign exchange student in Japan. He gets along with two girls (Chiyoko and Arisa) in his class and spends the seasons with them, with many events to go to such as Comiket and the summer festivals.
